What inherent strength does a wastepaper bin hold?
Is it enough to support a mechanical unit?
Why the principle of using a bin as a support structure may or may not be a good idea.

Re: 05 - Support of Heavy Plant
This is classic example of bad practice. Good spot Brian. When I get a few minutes I'll post the structural properties of the bin and work out what load it will support. There may be a market for structural bins after all! - Who needs columns when you can stack your bins up!cross wrote:http://www.dbp.org.uk/cs/DBP00124.pdf
